- Urban And Small Stream Flood Advisory For
West Central Mcminn County In East Tennessee
Central Meigs County In East Tennessee
- Until 500 Pm Edt
- At 202 Pm Edt Doppler Radar Indicated Heavy Rain Due To
Thunderstorms. This Will Cause Urban And Small Stream Flooding In
The Advisory Area. Up To Two Inches Of Rain Have Already Fallen
Within The Last Hour With More Heavy Rainfall Possible Over The
Next Few Hours.
- Some Locations That Will Experience Flooding Include
Athens Decatur And Riceville.
Precautionary/preparedness Actions
Excessive Runoff From Heavy Rainfall Will Cause Flooding Of Small
Creeks And Streams As Well As Farm And Country Roads. Do Not
Attempt To Travel Across Flooded Roads. Find Alternate Routes.

Ponding Of Water In Urban Or Other Areas Is Occurring Or Is Imminent.

- At 300 Pm Edt Doppler Radar Indicated Heavy Rain Due To
Thunderstorms. This Will Cause Minor Flooding In The Advisory
Area. Up To Two Inches Of Rain Have Already Fallen Over Parts Of
The Advisory Area With Additional Rain Expected.

Athens Etowah Englewood Tellico Plains Calhoun

At 258 Pm Edt Doppler Radar Was Tracking A Strong Thunderstorm 7
Miles South Of Dayton Moving Southeast At 20 Mph.
Half Inch Hail And Wind Gusts Up To 50 Mph Will Be Possible With This
Storm.

Cleveland Dayton Charleston East Cleveland Graysville
Calhoun Hopewell Riceville Big Spring Tasso Birchwood
Sale Creek And Hillsview.
