- Flash Flood Watch For Portions Of South Central Kentucky And
Southeast Kentucky Including The Following Areas In South
Central Kentucky Laurel Mccreary Pulaski Rockcastle
Wayne And Whitley. In Southeast Kentucky Bell Clay
Harlan Jackson Knox Leslie Letcher Owsley And Perry.
- Through Friday Morning
- Several Rounds Of Showers And Thunderstorms Will Move Over The
Watch Area Through Friday Morning. The High Water Content In The
Air Will Likely Result In Times Of Torrential Downpours. This
Rainfall In Conjunction With The Heavy Rains Of The Past Couple
Of Days May Lead To Flash Flooding Across Parts Of The Watch
- There Is A Potential For Rainfall Amounts Of 2 To 4 Inches
Across The Watch Area Though Locally Higher Amounts Will Be
Possible Where Thunderstorms Train Over Top Of The Same

To Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding Is A Very Dangerous Situation.

- Urban And Small Stream Flood Advisory For Poor Drainage Areas
Laurel County In South Central Kentucky
Wayne County In South Central Kentucky
Pulaski County In South Central Kentucky
Mccreary County In South Central Kentucky
Whitley County In South Central Kentucky
- Until 845 Am Edt
- At 549 Am Edt Doppler Radar Indicated Heavy Rain Due To
Thunderstorms Moving Into The Advisory Area. These Showers Are
Capable Of Producing Around An Inch Of Rain Or More Over The
Duration Of An Hour. Due To Soils Which Are Already Saturated From
Previous Days Storms This Amount Of Rainfall Will Cause Urban
And Small Stream Flooding. Overflowing Poor Drainage Areas Will
Also Create Minor Flooding Concerns.
- Some Locations That Will Experience Flooding Include

Pulaski Corbin Liberty Science Hill Burnside Dorthae
Vox Hazel Patch Bush Blackwater Bent Suttons Mill

Creeks And Streams As Well As Farm And Country Roads. Do Not
Attempt To Travel Across Flooded Roads. Find Alternate Routes.
