No injuries in West Knox County mobile home fire; smoke seen for miles

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – No one was injured Thursday afternoon in a mobile home fire in West Knox County.

The fire was reported just after 5 p.m. on Myrick Way, just off Ball Camp Pike. Rural/Metro says several people called 911 to report a column of heavy black smoke that could be seen throughout Knox County.

Official say 75 percent of the home was in flames. Crews were able to contain the fire. No one was home and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
