Young-Williams gives holiday safety tips

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – With the holidays here, Young-Williams is reminding pet owners of safety tips.

During cold weather, remember to bring your pets indoors to keep them warm.

Many people will have Christmas decorations around the house. Be mindful of wires and tree related supplies. Some supplies may have fertilizer which can be dangerous to pets if ingested. Also, make sure candy and food are out of reach.

If your pet does not do well with crowds, it may be best to separate your pet from house guests. Pets can become nervous or scared in new situations.

There are plenty of pets available at Young-Williams during this time of year. Season is a 3-month-old terrier. She is sweet and looking for a family. Adopted animals will receive services: veterinary physical exam, spay/neuter surgery, standard vaccinations, microchip with registration, etc.
