GATLINBURG (WATE) – The Tennessee National Guard provided new aerial video Thursday afternoon of the damage caused the wildfires in Gatlinburg and Sevier County.
Seven people have been confirmed dead and more than 700 buildings damaged or destroyed. Staff Sgt. William Jones shot the video as he flew over areas burned by the fires, showing burned buildings and brush.
A total of 74 people are now reported injured in the fires. It is believed to have been human caused.
