CHATTANOOGA (WATE) – One of the mothers of a surviving Chattanooga school bus crash victim has filed a lawsuit against bus company Durham School Services and driver Johnthony Walker.
Six children died as a result of the crash Monday afternoon. Walker has been charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
The suit was filed by attorney Herbert Thornbury on behalf of Kimberly Boling, the mother of an 8-year-old boy involved in the crash who was injured but survived. The suit claims he may have permanent physical and psychological injuries.
Thornbury is seeking unspecified damages.
