KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Two burglary suspects were arrested and one suspect is still on the run, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

Johnathon Stachowiak, 19, and Steven Taylor, 18, were charged with aggravated burglary, theft, simple possession and carrying a prohibited weapon. Stachowiak was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident and Taylor charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Knoxville Police Department said officers responded to a residential burglary Tuesday at 4:23 p.m. at 5500 Nickle Road. Police said the resident returned home, found his residence burglarized and three suspects in his driveway.

The resident tried to prevent the suspects from leaving his driveway by blocking the suspects’ pick-up truck with his Lincoln Towncar, according to police. They said two of the suspects backed their car into the victim’s truck and ran away on foot.

Just after fleeing the residence, officers said the suspects crashed their vehicle. Officers were able to arrest Stachowiak and Taylor.

Officers found stolen items from the residence in the suspect’s vehicle. They also found marijuana in one of the suspect’s pockets and in their vehicle.

Police said the third suspect in the burglary has not been identified or located. They also said the homeowner was not injured.
