KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Runners will be having fun in downtown Knoxville before having Thanksgiving dinner.
The Regal Entertainment Group Turkey Trot and Little Gobbler Run will be held on Thanksgiving Day. The 5K will go across Henley Street Bridge and Gay Street Bridge. The Little Gobbler Run will go down West Depot.
“We’re very excited about this year’s event,” said KTC Executive Director Kristy Altman. “This is Knoxville’s original Thanksgiving Day race and we’re thrilled to host our pre- and post-race activities at The Mill and Mine.”
There will be door prizes for participants, including Calhoun’s gift cards, pumpkin cheesecakes and one free year of running Knoxville Track Club road races.
Registration costs $25 for adults, $15 for children 12-years-old and younger and $20 for children ages 13-17. The costs goes up to $30 on race day. The Little Gobbler Run is $10.
The event starts at The Mill and Mine at 8 a.m.
