NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Predators are starting to roll and so is forward James Neal. With a 5-1 win over Ottawa Thursday night, the Predators grabbed their fourth win in the last five games, while Neal netted a goal in six straight games.

The Preds opened the scoring just two minutes and 14 seconds into the game as Colton Sissons redirected a puck from Mattias Eckholm for his second goal of the season.

After the Senators tied the game at 1-1, Ryan Ellis had an answer scoring his second goal of the season with under five minutes to go in the period as the Preds led 2-1.

The Predators dominated the shot category putting 40 on net, one of them from Pontus Aberg in the second period that gave the Preds a 3-1 advantage after two periods. In the third period it was all but over after James Neal scored his sixth goal in six straight games to put Nashville up 4-1.

Mike Ribeiro added a goal a few minutes later as the Preds left the ice in Ottawa with a 5-1 victory.

Pekka Rinne continued to play well in net with 30 saves, getting his sixth win of the season.

After starting the season off slow, the Preds have now earned points in seven of their last eight games.

They will be back on the ice Saturday to face the Blues in St. Louis.
