Crews control house fire in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A residence was on fire early Friday morning in Knoxville.

Firefighters reported to the scene at 1616 Wallace Street around 6 a.m. Neighbors noticed the fire and called 911. Flames and smoke were seen coming from the home. Crews believe the fire started in a rear bedroom.

No victims were found. The home received heat and smoke damage.

Investigators are determining the cause.
