TBI reports endangered infant found in Michigan

Xavier Billings (TBI)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported early Saturday morning the endangered child missing from DeKalb County has been located.

Xavier Billings was found safe in Michigan and his parents are in custody, according to the TBI.

Xavier was last seen with his biological parents, 29-year-old Andrew Billings and Adriana Billings, 19, on Nov. 10 after they fled the scene of a car crash on Highway 70 in DeKalb County.

The TBI reported a mobile methamphetamine lab was found inside the Billings’ vehicle during the crash investigation.

DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray said the couple was arrested Friday night at a home in Flint, Michigan and Xavier was placed into protective custody by the Michigan Department of Children Services. The State of Tennessee Children’s Services has been notified of Xavier’s whereabouts.

“We were able to gather information as to the whereabouts of the Billings family. We were able to obtain a name and address of where the Billings family might be staying. We immediately contacted the Flint Police Department and in return, they were able to locate these individuals there,” said Sheriff Ray.

Both Andrew and Adriana have active warrants for manufacturing meth and aggravated child abuse and will be extradited back to DeKalb County to face charges.

The Bureau and Sheriff Ray thanked the public for their help.

No additional information was immediately released.
