Police search for man who held up Alcoa dollar store

ALCOA (WATE) – The Alcoa Police Department is searching for a suspect who held up a dollar store Wednesday night and forced employees and customers to lie on the floor.

Officers say around 7:27 p.m., a man with a gun entered Dollar General on Hall Road and demanded money from the cash register and safe. After employees complied, they and witnesses were ordered to lie on the floor until the suspect left.
