NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A driver was cited for driving on a revoked license after plowing into a building in Midtown early Sunday morning.
The crash occurred at Advance Financial, located in the 1800 block of Church Street, around 4 a.m.
Metro police said the driver told officers he was headed outbound and fell asleep before veering across the road and smashing into the building.
The crash caused the exterior bricks to crumble but the large glass windows withstood the impact.
The driver was not injured, nor were the employees inside the 24-hour business.
Metro police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Officers allowed the driver to leave the scene with a citation for driving on a revoked license.
No additional information was immediately released.
