Knoxville non-profit organization holds fundraiser gala

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Angel Wings Memory Gowns, a Knoxville non-profit, held a fundraiser, called “Wedding of the Decades” gala dinner, Saturday night.

Angel Wings Memory Gowns works to help a bereaved family during their time of loss by providing complimentary burial gowns for babies and toddlers and grief support for families. They take old wedding gowns and formal gowns and turn them into burial gowns for babies.

Organizers say the fashion show will spotlight eight decades of wedding dresses that have been donated, before they turn them into memory gowns. There will also be a live and silent auction as well as a remembrance ceremony.
