KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Hundreds of students gathered on the University of Tennessee campus Thursday afternoon to protest the election of Donald Trump as the next president of the United States.

Protestors were gathered in the Humanities Plaza holding signs and chanting. They say they are protesting the values Donald Trump promoted during the campaign, rather than his loss to Hillary Clinton.

A number of Trump supporters were also at the event, holding “Make America Great Again” signs and supporting the new president-elect.
