Knoxville man arrested following short foot pursuit

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A suspect wanted in Knox County and Anderson County was taken into custody by Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Tuesday afternoon.

Larry Eugene Ward, Jr., had a total of 13 warrants between the two counties, for violation of probation, evading arrest and reckless endangerment.

Deputies say he was spotted in the parking lot of Dollar General Market on Clinton Highway. As officers approached, the suspect fled on foot. Ward was taken into custody following a short foot chase.

A past criminal history shows a conviction for aggravated burglary.
