Knoxville honors veterans with 91st Veterans Day parade

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The City of Knoxville honored those who served in the US armed forces during its 91st Veterans Day Parade.

The event was named as one of the best parades by Stars and Stripes Magazine. Participants included the Halls Crossroad Women’s League, The Knoxville Young Marines, HonorAir, the Daughters of the Revolution and more. Many area schools took students to the parade for a learning experience.

The parade started at the eastbound lanes of Howard H. Baker Jr. Avenue and went through Church Avenue, Gay Street and Depot Avenue. The lights on Henley Bridge will be red, white and blue.
