NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Workers have been busy getting everything ready before voters show up bright and early Tuesday.

During early voting, we saw long lines and record turnout in some counties.

Precinct officer Joy Hunter warns that could also be the case Tuesday.

“Just like with early voting, we are expecting a high turnout, and we are equally prepared for a high turnout,” she said.

Extra poll workers will be staffed at certain precincts to try and prevent long lines from forming.

But if you can, avoid the busiest voting times– early morning and late in the day.

“Mid-morning and mid-afternoon are probably the best windows to find the shortest lines,” Hunted said.
