This win goes beyond team work on the field. It is a reflection of the entire Cubs organization including their AA affiliate, the Tennessee Smokies.

Many former Smokies had a large role in the Cubs’ success this year.
“Fifteen former players were on the roster for the postseason and many of them were the stars of the team,” said Chris Allen, Smokies president and chief operating officer.
The Smokies are going to make sure they honor the Cubs’ success next season.
“We’ll do some things, still talking about. We are going to make sure you come to the ballpark and know the Cubs won the World Championship,” said Allen.
A lot of the Cubs superstars got their start at Smokies Park, and now they are world champs.
