NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The 2016 CMA Awards are just two days away and it’s going to be quite a show.
It’s the fiftieth anniversary of the event and there will be a mix of new names and familiar faces.
WKRN has an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look inside Bridgestone Arena as crews prep for Wednesday.
Kelsea Ballerini is nominated for female country artist and best new artist, and she says the competition is friendly.
“I’m friends with everyone in the new artist category. We’ve done radio tour at the same time, new artist shows together, we’re friends and we’ve all worked really hard. It’s cool to be able to know that whoever gets it, whoever takes it home deserves it. That’s a good thing to like be able to like hang your hat on,” she said.
WATE 6 On Your Side Anchor Ryan O’Donnell will be live from Nashville starting Wednesday on Good Morning Tennessee and then will have live coverage from the red carpet starting at 4 p.m.
