SNEEDVILLE (WATE) – A teenager died in a car crash in Hancock County Monday.

Investigators say two teens were riding in a 1997 Chevrolet S14 pick-up truck eastbound on Roberts Road. The passenger, Nathanael Seal, 15, of Eidson, died in the crash.

According to the report, the driver drove off the right side of the roadway and then crossed back over both lanes. The report says the car went off the left side of the road before overturning several times. The car came to a rest after going into an embankment.

Investigators say speed may have played a role and seat belts were not worn at the time of the crash. There is no information on the driver’s condition.

WJHL reports Seal was a football player at Hancock County High School.
