KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The Tennessee Theatre is celebrating 15 years of Mighty Musical Monday free organ concerts with a special performance on Sunday, October 30, at 2 p.m.

The concert features several local performers led by the Mighty Wurlitzer organists Bill Snyder, Freddie Brabson and Paul Swiderski. Guest artists include Kelle Jolly with Will Boyd; Natalee Beeler Elkins; Kukuly and the Gypsy Fuego; and Kiz Patterson.

The monthly free concert tradition began in 2001 when the Mighty Wurtlizer organ was fully restored. The purpose was to open the doors of the venue to the community and to make sure the newly restored instrument was regularly played and enjoyed.

Attendance has grown from under 200 to as much as 1,000 people each first Monday of the month.

No reservations or tickets are required for the 15th anniversary celebration. More online: http://www.tennesseetheatre.com
