KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The Knox County Office on Aging is hosting a community event to provide more information to the community.
“Aging: A Family Affair” will consist of workshops, door prizes and a keynote address from Senior Service America, Inc. Executive Director Tony Sarmiento.
Workshops will cover how to pay for medical expenses, end-of-life planning, stroke prevention, social security information, technology tips for vacations and more. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Also, there will be free medical screenings throughout the day.
The event is November 10 from 8 a.m. to 3:35 p.m. at the Rothchild Conference Center at 8807 Kingston Pike. Registration cost $25 by October 28 and $30 after October 28. Attendees can pay online or at the door. Parking is free and transportation can be provided by calling 865-524-2786 in advance.
