FBI, deputies search for Farragut bank robber

FARRAGUT (WATE) – The FBI and Knox County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a bank robber in Farragut.

The FBI says officers were called to Capital Bank, 136 Concord Road, around 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Reports indicate a masked man pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from bank employees. After obtaining the cash, he ran off.

The suspect is described as a white male around 6’2″ to 6’5″ tall. He has a large build and was wearing a dark facial covering, dark knit cap, dark jacket, dark pants, dark shoes and thick, dark gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at (865) 544-0751 or the KCSO at (865) 215-2243. A reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
