CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A car crash and a fire in Clarksville led to an impromptu rescue.

Jody Albright told said it happened just before 1:30 p.m. on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

He said he was headed to Best Buy when a car in front of him lost control and slammed into a sign.

Wasting no time, Albright says he and another good Samaritan pulled the driver from the car was it was catching on fire.

The driver was alert and awake and, given the circumstances, Albright says this was a miracle.

“It’s our duty as a human being. We all should do that. I’m no different than anyone else,” he said.

“I hope if I was involved in an accident this horrific, someone would do the same for me,” he added.

It happened so fast, Albright was unable to catch the name of the driver, or the others who helped.

WKRN reached out for an update on the driver’s condition but has yet to hear back.
