FARRAGUT, Tenn. (WATE) – Organizers say the 5th annual Monster Ball includes some spooky fun to help a good cause.
The ball will take place on October 28 at Concord Marina Clubhouse starting at 7:30 pm. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Harmony Family Center.
The event was founded by Mike Charland with Leadership Knoxville as a way to give back to the community. Each year it has grown with all of the proceeds benefiting an East Tennessee non-profit.
The Harmony Family Center is located in the former YMCA Camp Montvale, located about eight miles from Maryville. All proceeds from the Monster Ball will benefit Harmony’s innovative programs for families and children including leadership camps for at-risk youth, adoptive and foster family retreats, equine-assisted therapy programs, and the new Pet Assisted Wellness and Support for Kids Program.
“My staff and I are so grateful for this event and for being chosen as the beneficiary,” said Harmony Family Center Founder and CEO Pam Wolf. “We are so thankful to Mike and Dana for their hard work and to all of the guests who share the evening with us. This funding is vital to continuing important programs at our Harmony Family Center at Montvale property.”
The Monster Ball is open to the public and cost is $40 per person. DJ Jim Ogle will supply music and drinks and food will be provided. Attendees should be 21 or older.
Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling (865) 748-0065.
