KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Knoxville Police arrested a man wanted on multiple felony warrants and his accomplice for assaulting an officer at Target on Ray Mears Boulevard Saturday afternoon.

Police first approached suspect Aaron Rogers, 26, inside the store, but Rogers attempted to avoid and resist arrest.

While officers struggled with Rogers, a female came from behind and started assaulting officers.

The struggle caused one officer to activate the emergency button on his radio, prompting the Knox County Sheriff’s Office helicopter to circle the premises.

Police identified the second suspect as Terradasha Murry, 21, and both suspects were taken into custody without further incident.

Neither suspect was injured during the arrest. Rogers was found to have nine (9) warrants on file for his arrest.

The woman appeared to be highly distraught during her arrest as she banged on the windows of the police car.
