Tennessee Highway Patrol said a trooper noticed a non-functioning tail late on Pace’s Suzuki motorcycle and tried to pull him over. They said Pace accelerated to speeds of approximately 90 miles per hour to elude the trooper, finally crashing after he exited at Raccoon Valley Road.

Troopers said Pace’s motorcycle continued off the ramp, struck a guardrail and he was flung from the motorcycle. They said Pace hit the guardrail and hit a road sign with his body. He was not wearing a helmet, according to reports.
