Sevier County crews fight cabin and brush fire

SEVIER COUNTY (WATE) – Crews in Sevier County are working to put out a cabin fire and brush fire on Laurel Cove Road, Saturday afternoon.

The Sevier County Fire Chief Steve Whaley saying the biggest issue they are having is putting out a brush fire, which was started by a cabin fire.

As of 8:25 p.m., The Walden Creek Volunteer Fire Department says the fire is pretty much contained. Altogether, they say 12 emergency response agencies responded and more than 60 people were on the scene.

No injuries were reported at this time.
