MADISONVILLE (WATE) – A former employee of a Vonore factory has been charged with causing more than $10,000 in vandalism at the plant.

Zachary Todd Cooper, 20, of Madisonville, is charged with one count of vandalism over $10,000. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says they began looking into a report of product vandalism at Yamaha Jet Boat Manufacturing in Vonore in August 2015.

TBI says their investigation led them to Cooper, a former employee, as the responsible party. A grand jury indicted in on October 5 and he turned himself in to authorities on Friday. He is being held in the Monroe County jail on $25,000 bond.
