2nd carjacking in 24 hours reported in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A second carjacking has been reported in Knoxville within 24 hours, but police say the two incidents are not related.

Police say three men were walking to their car near the intersection of 13th Street and Highland Avenue around 3:30 a.m. when another car pulled up with three men and a female driver inside. Someone in the car asked if the three men wanted to buy marijuana. When they declined, the suspects robbed them of their car at gunpoint.

The suspects are described as three black men. The driver was possibly a white woman.
