KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Culture Club announced Monday that its upcoming Knoxville concert is cancelled.
Boy George and Culture Club were set to perform November 26 at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. However, the group says it is canceling several concerts during its tour because of illness.
Fans can receive refunds in the same method they purchased tickets. The band said it hopes to come to Knoxville at a later date.
The iconic band hits include “Karma Chameleon” and “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me.”
Culture Club was one of the biggest pop bands of the 1980s, racking up seven straight Top 10 hits in the UK and nine Top 10 singles in the US. The band is headed up by front man Boy George, whose fashion and heavy makeup created an image unique to the pop scene of the time.
