NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Nashville man faces charges after a woman was assaulted during a yoga class.
Investigators believe Dondrick Perkins assaulted a woman inside Hot Yoga Plus on Elliston Place on Sunday.
According to the report, the yoga instructor asked students to change positions in order to lie on their backs. Investigators say the suspect got off his mat and straddled the victim with his legs. The victim says Perkins lifted her shirt and bra in order to touch her breasts.
The instructor ordered the suspect to leave the class.
Students who have taken the class told WKRN that they have always felt safe at the studio. Employees did not want to go on camera, but said it was an isolated incident.
Perkins is charged with sexual battery and is being held at the Metro jail on a $10,000 bond.
