Blount County sheriff announces traffic plans for Luke Bryan concert

MARYVILLE (WATE) – Country superstar Luke Bryan is returning to East Tennessee for his “Farm Tour.” The Blount County Sheriff’s Office announced the traffic plan for the Thursday concert at Maple Lane Farm.

Traffic should be heavy throughout the day. Around 16,000 people are expected to attend, including 5,000 to 6,000 vehicles. The sheriff’s office is advising residents who live near the farm to make alternate travel plans for that evening and to have patience.

Parking areas at Maple Lane Farm will open at 2 p.m. The concert venue will open at 5 p.m. and the concert will start at 7 p.m. There will be emergency services located around the area.

The plan will be in effect starting at 10 p.m. near the Greenback farm. Morganton Road will be closed to thru traffic from Maple Lane to Salem Road. Certain roads will only be one way leaving the farm: Lambert Road, Salem Road, Maple Lane and Henry Lane.

There will be deputies at certain intersections to help with traffic going through Blount and Loudon counties. Traffic should be cleared around 2 a.m.
