CLINTON (WATE) – The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 16th annual Clinch River Fall Antiques Festival in downtown Clinton on October 7 and 8.
The event begins Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. with food vendors in Hoskins/Lane Park, a “Cruze-in” for muscle cars on Market Street sponsored by Fox Toyota. Shops and eateries will also be open late. Entertainment will be provided by Sanctified Soul, Dave Serrat, Inman Bluegrass and Nissi.
The Education Foundation for Clinton City and Anderson County Schools are doing a reverse raffle at 7:30 p.m. First prize is $5,000. Tickets can be purchased for $20 each before the event from any school official.
On Saturday fro 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., over 90 antique dealers and artisans will line the streets in the historic district for a street festival. Dealers from throughout the Southeast will be on hand, as well appraiser Joe Rosson. He will appraise your treasures for $5 per item in the Clinton Antique Mall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Antique cars and trucks will be on display on Main Street. There will be two food courts and a kid’s area. Musical entertainment includes Quinn Erwin, The Walker Boys, Pale Root, The Unnamed Band and a re-enactment of the Burr-Hamilton duel.
