KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A Knox County woman was convicted for selling prescription pills.

Investigators say Mary Lynn Cansler, 45, was trying to sell her medication. Cansler was arrested after a deputy saw a vehicle make an illegal U-turn. Cansler was a passenger in the vehicle.

A pill in a plastic bag was found in the car. Investigators say Cansler told the deputy that she was hiding a pill bottle inside of her body. Investigators say the suspect’s phone had text messages revealing Cansler was planning to sell the medication.

Cansler was convicted of possession with intent to sell and deliver oxycodone. She will appear in court for sentencing on November 3.
