NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Southwest flight headed to Nashville from Los Angeles blew one of its four main tires on take-off Monday night.
ABC affiliate KABC-TV told WKRN Flight 2634 was turned around and landed back at LAX safely just after 9:10 p.m. Central.
There were 147 passengers on board with an unknown number of crew members. No one was injured.
Passengers were escorted off the plane. Southwest officials say it will be four hours delayed after passengers are boarded onto a new plane. Visit FlyNashville.com for updates.
The plane will remain immobile for an unknown period of time on or near the runway. Authorities told KABC-TV the runway was closed but it’s not affecting airport operations.
