KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A free health fair is planned next month to help Knoxville area residents get healthier for the upcoming winter season.
Healthy Tennessee, a non-profit founded by Vanderbilt trauma surgeon Dr. Manny Sethi, is holding its fourth annual health fair on Saturday, October 29, starting at 11 a.m. at the Gathering, 8729 Chapman Highway, and running until 2 p.m.
There will be dozens of nurses, physicians, and healthy lifestyle companies to provide free health screenings and educational conversations with doctors. Visitors will also receive free health-related products. Some of the screenings include blood pressure checks, body mass index, blood sugar, eye exams for glaucoma, retina exams, hearing exams and diabetes risk assessments.

Second Harvest Food Bank will also be at the event to distribute free healthy food.
