MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A rare motorcycle was stolen from a pastor in Murfreesboro but an alert a WKRN viewer may have spotted the bike in Smyrna.

Pastor Tre Faulkner said his 1981 yellow motorcycle was stolen from his back yard on Wednesday.

“It’s a 35-year-old vintage, fully restored, motorcycle. There’s less than 10 of them in the U.S. that are fully restored and probably less than 100 of them worldwide actually running,” said Faulkner.

Faulkner was more than disappointed when he realized his bike was gone.

“My heart sunk, I know it’s an earthly possession, but it’s more than that, it’s kind of sentimental. It’s a family bike,” added Faulkner.

After WKRN aired a photo of the bike Thursday afternoon, a viewer sent it images of a very similar-looking motorcycle on the back of a trailer in Smyrna.

The license plate information from the trailer was sent to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

Faulkner said he has no interest in pressing charges, he just wants his bike back.
