MORRISTOWN (WATE) – A Jefferson City man was arrested by the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly sending threatening text messages and voicemails to a Hamblen County couple.

Jerome G. Blaszczyk is charged with harassment. Deputies say the victims filed a report on September 9 that he had sent four text messages and two threatening voicemails. That same day, the suspect left five more voicemails on the victim’s cell phone saying he would “beat them within an inch of their life” when he sees them. Deputies say he even said in one voicemail he would beat one of the victims to death.

Blaszczyk has been released from jail on $1,500 bond.
