CLINTON (WATE) – An East Tennessee car dealership is celebrating a huge milestone – 50 years in business.
Gene and Margaret Fox, with Fox Motor Company, were contacted about buying a Toyota franchise in the 1960s. All they had to do at the time to become a dealer was buy a sign and $1,000 worth of Toyota parts to stock.
Fifty years later, their decision has paid off as Fox Toyota is celebrating 50 years of selling new Toyotas.
“Our parents started this dealership. They were just a used car dealership, took on the franchise in 1966, so we work together as a family as the second generation comes, and many third generation here,” said general manager Ronnie Fox.
Fox Toyota held a big celebration Thursday evening with live music, hors d’oeuvres and the presentation of a special award from Toyota.
