Carson-Newman named “Great School at Great Price” by US News & World Report

JEFFERSON CITY (WATE) – Carson-Newman University was named a “Great School at a Great Price” in the 2017 U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges rankings. It ranked in the top 15 schools in the South.

Also, the school was ranked 59th in the “Best Regional Universities in the South” category and was listed as a “Best University for Veterans.”

“Carson-Newman was founded to serve those throughout the Appalachian region,” said Dr. Paul Percy, the University’s acting president and provost. “Since then, we have long expanded, welcoming students from around the world. We have done that by providing an excellent Christian higher education, while also working diligently to make that same educational experience as affordable as possible.”

The school has over 2,600 students and has 50 undergraduate majors. The school offers associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees.
