GREENEVILLE (WATE) – One person is dead after a fatal crash in Greene County Saturday.
Michael A. Long, 41, was driving a 2005 white Acura TL northeast on Snapps Ferry Road near Andrew Johnson Highway. According to the Greeneville Police Department, the driver left the roadway and hit a concrete pillar. The pillar was supporting the 11-E bridge.
Investigators found no signs of the driver hitting the brakes. When investigators arrived at the scene, the victim was unconscious and was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to a morgue.
An autopsy will be scheduled. There is no more information at this time.
