According to TBI spokesman Josh DeVine, the complaint was filed earlier this week.

Arnold and his wife live in Murfreesboro. Neither has commented.

Arnold is also at the center of an unrelated case involving e-cigarettes being sold at the Rutherford County jail.

He faces one count of conspiracy, three counts of money property fraud, four counts of honest services fraud, two counts of bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds, one count of extortion under color of official right and one count of attempt to tamper with a witness by corrupt persuasion.

There have been calls for Arnold to resign from his position, but he has previously said he plans to keep his job.

Two others, including his uncle and an administrative chief deputy are also charged in that case.
