BRISTOL (WATE) – It is almost time for Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol. Many fans are looking for a place to stay.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of places to camp around Bristol Motor Speedway. However, when it comes to condos or hotel rooms within walking distance, your options are numbered.
There is one place across the street from the speedway and it won’t disappoint.
RaceDay Center is composed of two privately owned towers of condos with one amazing view.
“Every single unit is facing the track,” said RaceDay Center Property Manager Trish Bane. “The balcony you can watch all the activity, the parades in front of the building, so it’s very exciting for fans.”
WATE 6 On Your Side found a listing for a condo on HomeAway.com. The condo unit is decked out with the NASCAR lover in mind, but all of the units are booked for game day.
“But I think this summer it finally clicked with everyone,” said Bane. “It’s time to think about this game, it’s going to be here, where are we going to stay?”
Bane said she would love to see another weekend event, keeping them booked. However, this is also personal, her son is a University of Tennessee grad. Like so many, she’s ready for a UT victory over Virginia Tech.
“We’re really grateful for the track for putting this game together,” said Bane. “I think a lot of fans have wanted this for a long time.”
