Roane County Police Department collects money for Moats Memorial Fund

KINGSTON, Tenn. (WATE) – Roane County Police department spent their Saturday morning collecting money to donate to the family of fallen Maryville Police officer, Kenny Moats.

A road block was set up at the intersection of Highway 70 and Pine Ridge Road in Kingston.

A total of $8,333 were raised. 100% of that money will be added to the Moats Memorial Fund.

The memorial fund for Officer Moats was established by KenJo Markets in the amount of $10,000. Anyone who wishes to contribute to the fund can drop off donations at CBBC Bank or the City of Maryville. Please checks payable to the Kenny Moats Memorial Fund.

The fund was created to help pay for Officer Moat’s funeral cost’s and support the Moats family during their time of grief.
