Knoxville’s ‘serial thief’ arrested

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Knox County Sheriff’s Office reports the man they believe to be responsible for robbing 11 Knoxville businesses in August has been arrested.

Jeremy Clifford Johnson, 35, was pulled over after an officer recognized his vehicle on Millertown Pike.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Johnson is responsible for the robbery of a Shell Station on Clinton HIghway, Big D Food Store on Maynardville Pike and 9 other Knoxville businesses.

Johnson is charged with four counts of aggravated robbery and also had a failure to appear warrant at the time of his arrest.

He has a criminal history in Knoxville that includes theft, and driving under the influence.
