Truck driver charged with biting girlfriend, running from police in West Knoxville

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A truck driver faces charges after he was accused of biting his girlfriend in West Knoxville.

Kristopher Carlisle is charged with aggravated assault and evading arrest. A police report says officers were called to Lovell Road for a possible domestic matter. The victim said she had been traveling with Carlisle in his tractor trailer and he had been abusive for several days.

She said Carlisle bit her moments before police arrived, threatened to slit her throat, and held a knife to her neck. Carlisle got into his tractor trailer and fled before police could question him. Police officers gave chase until he pulled into the American Freight parking lot. He got out of his tractor trailer and was taken into custody.

The victim refused medical treatment. Carlisle is being held in the Knox County Detention Facility.
