KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Campaign headquarters for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump are now open in Knox County. The office is located on Kingston Pike in Farragut and will have plenty of Trump merchandise.
The office is already stocked with campaign signs and will be getting Trump shirts and hats next week. Campaign leaders say they are looking for volunteers to work phone banks any time of the day.
The headquarters also plans to host debate nights, allowing people to watch the upcoming presidential debates live.
“Donald Trump has been amazing to the general people of our society, whether good or bad. He has definitely touched a nerve that most of America wants. They want someone who’s not a politician,” said resource coordinator Menuela Ptacek.
The Hillary Clinton campaign in Knoxville is operating out of the Democratic Party headquarters on Morgan Street, with Clinton merchandise available now. The campaign will be showing its office to the public on August 27.
