Comedy Barn in Pigeon Forge hosts 5K walk, run for child advocacy

PIGEON FORGE (WATE) – The Comedy Barn Theater in Pigeon Forge is hosting its third annual Kickin’ Chicken 5K Run/Walk next month to benefit The Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center.

The race is a single loop race begins at Comedy Barn at 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 3. The route goes through The Island and returns down the Riverwalk Greenway back to The Comedy Barn.

Registration is $25 for adults and $20 for children 17 and under until August 22. After that date, the cost goes up to $30 for adults and $25 for kids. You can register online or the morning of the race beginning at 6:30 a.m.

Packets can be picked up at The Comedy Barn on Friday, September 2, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. or the morning of the race. All pre-registered racers receive and event T-shirt and a bib. Awards will be given for top male and female overall, master, grandmaster and veteran finisher.

The event is part of the “Run and See Tennessee Grand Prix Series” and winners in each age division receive medals and tickets to The Comedy Barn.

The Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center provides comprehensive, coordinated and compassionate services to victims of child abuse in the Fourth Judicial District that includes Cocke, Grainger, Jefferson and Sevier counties.
